Program Description:

UTA - Russian in Omsk, Russia

Applications should be submitted directly to Dr. Lonny Harrison or Dr. Iya Price in the Department of Modern Languages, not to UTA Study Abroad.

This program will not be offered in Summer 2019.  Please contact UTA Study Abroad for information about other program options in Russia.

 


July 10 - August 9, 2018* (*dates and itinerary subject to change)

Earn six UTA credit hours while studying abroad in Omsk, a major Russian city in the heart of Siberia with a group of faculty and students from the UTA Russian Section of the Department of Modern Languages.  No prerequisites and no experience necessary.  Program includes intensive study and practice in Russian and a packed itinerary of cultural excursions.

ITINERARY:  Program is based in Omsk with included visits to Moscow and other Russian cities.

COST: Students should estimate the cost of this 5 week study abroad program at approximately $7,000

  • INCLUDES: UTA tuition (estimated $2,290), fees, materials, airfare (estimated $1,800), local transportation, cultural excursions, room and board, required UT System Study Abroad insurance ($95 for 5 weeks), UTA Study Abroad Application Fee ($75), and miscellaneous expenses.  It is recommended that students bring $500 for incidentals and souvenirs.
  • Financial Aid is applicable, and students can apply for the International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS) and other scholarships for study abroad.
