Program Description:

Ajou University

***Ajou offers a Housing Scholarship every fall and spring semester.

Location:  Located approximately 20 miles south of Seoul, Suwon is a major industrial city with a population of over one million people.  Suwon is also a large educational center in Korea with 14 universities located within the city.

The University: Ajou University has been nationally recognized for its strengths in Engineering, Medicine, Business, Computer Engineering and International Studies. Ajou University has also been ranked one of the top schools in Korea by the Korean government.

Courses Offered:  Courses are offered in English in a wide range of disciplines.  Students with a high proficiency in Korean may also take courses taught in Korean.  Link to courses in English. 

Student Visas:  In addition to a US passport, all students must obtain a valid Korean Student Visa which costs approximately $45.  Students will apply for this visa once they have been accepted into the program.  Student Visa Application  Student Visa Process Details

Fun Facts:  South Korea is about the same size as the state of Indiana, is the largest ship builder in the world, has the world's highest estimated national IQ, and was the creator of the world's first cloned dog.
