Location: Yamagata offers student's both an historic Japan as well as a modern one. Yamagata is known for its natural beauty, including majestic mountains, coastlines, historic temples and castles. Yamagata also has a booming industrial sector focused on high-technology.
The University: Yamagata University is a leading national university located in northern Japan. Students participating on this program will attend the Yamagata University Japanese Studies Program.
Courses Offered: Japanese Culture courses are taught in English and Japanese Language courses are taught in Japanese. Students with a high proficiency in Japanese may also take regular courses taught in Japanese. Courses are available in the subject areas listed above. Full Course Details
Student Visas: In addition to a US passport, all students must obtain a valid Japanese College Student Visa to study in Japan. Students will apply for this visa once they have been accepted into the program. Student Visa Process Details
