COURSES: 
  • BCMN 2730 - Multimedia Production (3 credit hours).  Open to all majors
  • BCMN 4322 - Corporate Video Production (3 credit hours). Pre-requisite: Grade of C or better in BCMN 3319 or BCMN 3350, and BCMN 3340
  • COMM 4391 - Multimedia Explorations (3 credit hours).  Communication Advisor approval needed.
  • COMM 5391 - Geosemiotics and Intercultural Communication.  Must be enrolled as a graduate student.


OUTLINE: 
  • Week 1 - Classes at UTA before heading to Japan.
  • Week 2-3 - Tokyo Metropolitan Area
  • Week 3-4 - Kansai area (central Japan)
  • Week 4-5 - Shikoku and Seto Inland Sea
 
COST: Estimated Program Fee of $1,800 + UTA Tuition 
  • Program Fee estimate INCLUDES: Housing, local transportation, and entrance fees for cultural visits and other sites for program activities
  • Does not include: Airfare (estimated $1,600), meals (estimated $800), required UT System Study Abroad Insurance ($95 for five weeks), UTA Study Abroad Application Fee ($75), and incidentals
  • Financial aid is applicable, and students can apply for the International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS) and other scholarships for study abroad.
