Earn up to 19 credits as a student intern abroad in Costa Rica; 2 years of college-level Spanish or the equivalent is required.
Live in a Costa Rican homestay.
Enjoy cultural and social activities such as walking tours, film club, illustrators club, a visit to the Teatro Nacional, cooking class, visits to local museums and markets and more; volunteer opportunities are also available.
Trips include a 3-day excursion to Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs Spa and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a 3-day visit to Manuel Antonio National Park and a day trip to tour a coffee plantation and visit La Marta Wildlife Refuge.
Optional excursions include a 2-day Sarapiquí hiking and rafting trip ($215) and 3-day visit to Granada, Nicaragua ($575).
