Cuernavaca 2023: Second Summer Session (July 7 - August 5, 2023)
Study Spanish in Cuernavaca, a charming colonial city with a population of 500,000 in the heart of Mexico (50 miles south of Mexico City) and known for its Eternal Spring. Live with a Mexican host family and completely immerse yourself in the language and culture of Mexico through constant contact with these and other native speakers. Small group classes are conducted in Spanish at the Spanish Language Institute, a professional language school devoted to the teaching of the Spanish language and the culture of Latin America.

  •  Spanish 2313 and 2314:  Intermediate Spanish I and II
  •  Spanish 3312/3313/3317: Mexican Culture and Civilization
  •  Spanish 3309:  Spanish for the Professions
  •  Spanish 4313:  Latin American Culture and Civilization
  •  Spanish 3391/4391:  Topics in Language and Literature

Cost: Program Fee of approximately $1600 + UTA Tuition
  • Program Fee INCLUDES: Academic fees at institute, housing with host family (shared room) and meals with host family.
  • Does not include: Airfare (estimated $600), required UT System Study Abroad Insurance ($95 for 5 weeks), UTA Study Abroad Application Fee ($75), some food, transportation from airport to Cuernavaca (estimated $35), optional tours and incidentals
  • Financial aid is applicable, and students can apply for the International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS) and other scholarships for study abroad
