The University of Auckland exchange program is competitive, and enrollment is limited. Interested students are encouraged to apply early.
Location: Located on the North Island of New Zealand, Auckland is New Zealand's largest city and the largest Polynesian city in the world. Students will experience the best of both worlds living in a metropolitan city and exploring the beaches, islands, and landscapes of the New Zealand countryside.
The University: The University of Auckland was ranked 50th among the world's top universities by The Times in 2007. Located in the heart of Auckland City, the University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading research university with a diverse student population from over 97 countries.
Courses Offered: Courses are offered in a wide range of disciplines, all taught in English. Fun Facts: New Zealand is home to the largest flightless parrot (kakapo), oldest reptile (tuatara), biggest earthworms, smallest bats, heaviest insect (a weta), some of the oldest trees and many of the rarest species of birds, insects, and plants in the world. Sheep also outnumber humans 9 to 1 in New Zealand.
