The University of Leicester exchange program is competitive, and enrollment is limited. Interested students are encouraged to apply early.
Location: Located in the center of England, the city of Leicester is just 75 minutes from London by train. Leicester makes an ideal location to study in the UK, providing amble opportunities to discover neighboring European cities. Leicester is also a student city with students making up 12% of the city's population.
The University: The University of Leicester is most famous for discovering DNA Genetic Fingerprinting and pioneering space exploration, but the University provides a wide array of disciplines for students to study. The University of Leicester also offers over 90 student run groups and more than 40 sports clubs to get involved. The University of Leicester was recently named "University of the Year" by the coveted Times Higher Education award for 2008/2009.
