Maverick Advantage Passport Grant
The Maverick Advantage Passport Grant was established to help Pell-eligible students at UTA obtain their first U.S. passport to study abroad.
Applicants must be enrolled students at UTA, be Pell-grant eligible, and be eligible to apply for a U.S. passport. Applicants must further demonstrate a clear intent to participate in a UTA Study Abroad program during their UTA career. Preference will be given to students in their first year at UTA and students from underrepresented groups in study abroad, such as racial/ethnic minority; first-generation college students; LGBTQIA+ students; students with disabilities; gender diverse students; non-traditional age students; and more.
Grant recipients will receive funding to cover the cost of a first-time passport application fee but are responsible for the cost of photos, any mailing costs, and additional fees if they choose expedited processing.
Application deadline is March 1, 2024.
